Our Project Pipeline

From a bankable grid-tied IPP to a rural off-grid mini-grid — and a proven track record already on the ground.

1 MW Grid-Tied Solar Farm

Baka Solutions seeks loan financing to develop, construct, own, and operate a 1 MW grid-tied solar photovoltaic power plant in Zimbabwe. The project will supply electricity to the national grid and/or private off-takers under long-term agreements. With approximately 2,200 Tier-1 bifacial modules and smart string inverters, the plant is expected to generate about 1.9 GWh annually over a 25+ year operating life.

Rural Solar Mini-Grid Electrification

Alongside the 1MW grid-tied plant, Baka Solutions is developing a standalone solar mini-grid to electrify a rural community more than 10km from the national grid — matching the site profile the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) targets for its community solar mini-grid programme. The system pairs solar generation with battery storage to supply households, small businesses, and anchor loads such as a clinic, school, or business centre.

Sizing follows REA's proven mini-grid templates, and the project is being progressed toward REA implementing-partner registration and ZERA generation licensing, with a pay-as-you-go, smart-metered tariff model so it can operate sustainably once construction is complete.
